Magne offers rich messaging across both server channels and private conversations.Text Channels
Every server can have multiple text channels organized into categories. Channels support:- Rich text — Markdown formatting, code blocks, and embeds
- File attachments — Upload images, documents, and media (up to 25 MB)
- Link previews — Automatic unfurling of URLs with metadata and thumbnails
- Message reactions — React with emoji to any message
- Pinned messages — Pin important messages for easy reference
- Message editing — Edit your messages after sending
- Message deletion — Remove your own messages or moderate others’ (with permissions)
Direct Messages
Private 1-on-1 conversations with end-to-end encryption support:- E2EE — Signal Protocol (X3DH + Double Ratchet) for message confidentiality
- Read receipts — See when your messages have been read
- Reactions — Same reaction system as channels
- Message history — Persistent conversation history
