# Quick Start

# Quick Start

Get up and running with Magne in three steps.

  <Step title="Download the App">
    Head to [magne.chat](https://magne.chat) and download the desktop app for your platform.

    The installer handles everything — no dependencies, no configuration.

  <Step title="Create Your Account">
    Launch the app and click **Create Account**. You'll need:

    * A **username** (3–32 characters, lowercase)
    * A **password** (minimum 6 characters)
    * A valid **email address** for verification

    A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email. Enter it to complete registration.

    <Note>
      Verification codes expire after **10 minutes**. You can request up to 3 resends.

  <Step title="Join a Server">
    Once you're in, you can:

    * **Browse public servers** via the Discover tab
    * **Accept an invite link** shared by a friend
    * **Create your own server** and invite others

    That's it — you're ready to chat, call, and collaborate.
